Jason received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Utah Valley University and completed a Master of Science in the Family nurse practitioner program at Brigham Young University. He is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and the American College of Phlebology. He is professionally certified in basic life support, pediatric advanced life support and advanced cardiac life support.
Jason’s past work experience includes coordinating care for post myocardial infarction and post angiography patients in a 17 bed cardiac intensive care unit at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. He is an experienced charge nurse coordinating staff and patient assignments, and responding to hospital emergencies as a team lead. He is currently certified on Intra Aortic Balloon Pump and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy.
His primary area of focus in the vein center is new patient consultations and coordinating care for established patients. He also works in the hospital with the Interventional Radiologists performing procedures including joint injections, lumbar punctures, PICC lines, paracentesis, thoracentesis and thyroid biopsies.
